year. This year as well as the homeroom teacher I will teach most of the
subjects in Grade 3 such as Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Character
Studies, and Bahasa Indonesia. You are welcome to communicate with me through

I
believe that the school agenda is important in maintaining good communication
between teachers and parents. Please remind your child to bring it to school
every day and make sure that you check and sign it every night.

Mathematics
Math in grade 3 will be following
Math Cambridge Curriculum stage 4, in which this term 1 we will be focusing on
place value; addition and subtraction; multiplication and division, rounding to
nearest 10 and 100, mental calculation and problem solving of numbers to 10
000. During all Math topics children will take part in activities designed to
develop conceptual understandings, practical and ‘real-life' use, problem
solving strategies and appropriate neatness and bookwork.
Math homework will be given every
Monday and will due to the following Friday. Please remind your child to
submit it on time to achieve maximum score.
Social Studies & Science
This term in Social Studies we will learn about Natural
Resources and Ancient Rome. Children will be required to complete some projects
to support our learning process. Ancient Rome will be our theme for school
assembly in term 2. In Science we will learn about Diversity and Systems. We
will find out how amazing our body is as well as animals and plants.
All homework and assignment will be notified through
agenda.
Visual Art
Here is the list of supplies I require your child to have
in art lesson:
Color pencils
Color markers (basic colors)
1 big black marker (for outlining)
1 medium paint brush (for watercolor painting)
Please
make sure that they are labeled with your child’s name.

Bahasa
Indonesia will be offered in two classes; Bahasa Indonesia class with me and
Indonesian as a second language (ISL) class with Mr. Dias.
